Trion Air Bear Media Filter Replacement

Media air cleaners, whether free standing or directly mounted to machines, draw pollutants from the air through a first stage pre-filter to capture large particulate. This extends the life of the primary media filter, which uses a combination of technologies including straining, impaction, interception, and diffusion to strip submicron particles from the air. After adsorption filters may also be incorporated to eliminate or reduce odors.

• Efficiency and arrestance ratings based on the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers Standard 52.2-1999.
• Fractional Efficiency: 15% (0.3 micron particles).
• Minimum Efficiency Reporting Valve (MERV): 8 at 492 fpm.
• Applicable to all gas, oil, and electric forced warm air furnaces and to compressor cooling up to 5 tons. Can be used with heat pumps only if the filter is changed regularly. Not recommended for applications where pressure drop may be critical.
• Media filter is easily replaced by homeowner.
